Hello Kentuckiana! This is the first week of the 2022 growing season and we are so excited for fresh veggies! Our farmers at Rootbound, Barr Farms, and Valley Spirit Farm are telling us to look forward to another great season, and we are certainly off to a great start with all of these luscious greens and root veggies.
Here is what is coming in our shares this week for California Neighborhood (Tuesday, 6/7 ), BerryTown (Tuesday, 6/7 ), Gendler (Wednesday, 6/8), Southern Indiana (Thursday, 6/9 ) and Portland Fresh Stop Market (Friday, 6/2):
All certified organic from Rootbound Farm in Oldham County.
- Bok Choy: 1 head
- Broccoli: 1.5 lbs
- Curly Kale: 1 bunch
- Green Onions: 1 bunch
- Kohlrabi: 1.5 lbs
- Purple Potatoes: 1.5 lbs
- Lettuce: 1 head
All organically certified from Valley Spirit Farm, Henry County, Kentucky
- Cucumbers: 1 lb
So excited! This gives me and many others the opportunity to have healthy farm fresh vegan meals that are locally grown and affordable! I cant wait!!!!
