A Very New Roots Thanksgiving

Hello New Roots Family,

This Thursday Nov 18th is our last share of the year which is our way of giving thanks to our beloved shareholders, farmers, and Volunteers. Our farmers at Rootbound, Barr Farms, Valley Spirit and The Brooks Place, our newest farm partner, have been invaluable to these markets and this mission, so we give a special thanks to their effort. We also want to thank Kentucky Mushroom for the Sage, Brigette for the Mustard greens, and the Hindu community for donating Grains. We are so excited to announce our list for the Thanksgiving share and we hope you will enjoy this delectable bounty of fresh local food!

Here is what is coming in our shares:

All certified organic from Rootbound Farm in Oldham County.

  • Celery
  • Potatoes
  • Turnips
  • Cabbage
  • Kale or Collards

All Certified organic from Barr Farms in Meade County.

  • Sweet Potatoes
  • Carrots

Organic herbs from Kentucky Mushroom

  • Sage

Micro Greens from The Brooks Place
