Hello Kentuckiana! This is the first week of the 2022 growing season and we are so excited for fresh veggies! Our farmers at Rootbound, Barr Farms, and Valley Spirit Farm are telling us to look forward to another great season, and we are certainly off to a great start with all of these luscious greens and root veggies.
Here is what is coming in our shares this week for Shelby Park Neighborhood Fresh Stop Market (Tuesday, 5/31), Old Louisville Fresh Stop Market (Wednesday, 6/1), and West Louisville Fresh Stop Market (Thursday, 6/2):
All organically certified from Rootbound Farm, Oldham County, Kentucky
- Bok Choy: 1 head
- Broccoli: 1lb
- Curly Kale: 1 bunch
- Green onions: 1 bunch
- Potatoes: 1.5 lbs
- Radishes: 1 bunch
- Lettuce (Romaine or Green Leaf): 1 bunch
All organically certified from Valley Spirit Farm, Henry County, Kentucky
- Lettuce (Green or Red Butterhead and Romaine): 1 bunch
Thank you for the update! We are really interested in the fresh strawberries. do you know when we could expect those? Can we buy as many as we want or are there limitations?
So excited for this season’s bounty!
