We are so excited the 2022 season is growing closer and closer! Our vegetables are also growing thanks to our amazing farmers working every day. We are eagerly waiting to eat these delicious healthy cultivations. I’ve made a calendar for those of you that are visual learners like me. Hopefully it helps to see the dates in this format. This calendar will also be posted on our social media platforms. At the Start of the season is our Strawberry Jamm. This is our kickoff to the season and since 2020 has been a drive through event. We still hope to have lots of fun and can’t wait to see some familiar faces. We still need volunteers for this as well so go here to sign up for this event and your Fresh Stop Market. here: https://tinyurl.com/Veggies2022

If you would like to order strawberries the best way to do so is to go into our app (hopefully you already have your account all set up) and you just go to your first market and there will be an option to add strawberries. This year the cost is $17 per Gallon ($8.50 with SNAP). The pickup is from 4pm-7pm at our office which is located at 1800 Portland Avenue right next to The Table. The best way to set up an account if you haven’t already, is to go to our app (in the App store or Google Play) which is called New Roots Fresh Stop Markets. If you are having trouble with the app, please call us or text us at 502-509-6770 and we can get it sorted out.

Our first day of the season is May 31st and will start off with the Shelby Park Fresh Stop Market which has changed locations to Louisville Vegan Jerky Company located at 1311 S Shelby St. Louisville KY 40217. We are so excited for this new partnership and we can’t wait to start the new season with them!
We have one other market that has moved locations. Our West Louisville Market is now going to be at the Dare to Care Community Kitchen at 1200 South 28th Street, Louisville KY 40211 in the Parkland neighborhood. We are incredibly excited for this partnership as well because of our very similar goals to combat food insecurity. Not only that but we also hope to add a focus on health to the already stable presence Dare to Care has in our community.
Our 2022 Season will be a great one! Although we have a little bit of sad news, we will not have any eggs this season. Unfortunately, the cost went up and we felt it was too much for our shareholders. We highly encourage those of you who would still like eggs to visit the New Albany Farmers Market on Saturday morning to buy eggs from Grass Corps because they are delicious! On a better note, we have found our new truck! Thanks to everyone who donated and shared our GoFundMe campaign! Old and new shareholders alike, we can’t wait to see you all! Get ready to eat your veggies!
