After 16 years of uniting communities to spread food justice around Kentucky, we have decided to offer our Fresh Stop Market model and the New Roots mobile smartphone app to new places so we can connect more eaters and farmers. In this new iteration, New Roots is now a HUB, mentoring and consulting with our Sponsoring Organizations, and sharing access to our New Roots Fresh Stop Market mobile smartphone app. New Roots Fresh Stop Markets are being replicated for broader impact.
Next stop: the Garden State of N.J.
In early February 2025, in partnership with CROPS NJ of Atlantic City, we successfully kicked off the very first Fresh Stop Market under our new business model. Next up is a partnership with Norwescap of Phillipsburg, NJ, scheduled for June 2025.
