New Roots is actively seeking board members for 2025.

The New Roots board manages organizational finances and sets long term priorities for programs, including the replication of the New Roots Fresh Stop Market model and the use of our mobile smartphone app. Additionally, the Board oversees the Executive Director, who is responsible for day-to-day management of  the organization. Overall, the members of the Board contribute the educational, management, legal, and financial skills needed to ensure long term organizational stability and ensure year-to-year educational excellence for New Roots mission.

The Board of Directors has up to 15 voting members. Terms are for three years that may be renewed for full or partial additional terms of office up to a maximum of eight consecutive years. After a Director leaves the Board, they may be re-elected to the Board after a hiatus of three years.

The board meets six times a year and may also be called upon throughout the year for one on one sessions with the executive director and business manager.
